Pickaway County Sheriff's Office Donates Cruisers

Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center is grateful for the donation of four police cruisers by the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office, made possible through the cooperation of the Pickaway County Commissioners.

This collaborative effort, spearheaded by Sheriff Matthew Hafey and our dedicated staff, including Law & Public Safety Instructor Rex Cockerell, Director of Secondary Education Jason Vesey, and Basic Peace Officer Academy Commander Terri Mikesh, underscores the commitment to providing top-tier resources for law enforcement education.

The Pickaway County Commissioners played a pivotal role in facilitating this generous donation, allowing the retired patrol cars to directly benefit students in the Basic Peace Officer Academy and high school Law & Public Safety program.

Commander Terri Mikesh expressed her gratitude, stating, 'We are very appreciative of the generous donation of the retired patrol cars from the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office. These vehicles will be helpful in providing our cadets with realistic training in several topics including Driving, Stops & Approaches, and Speed Measuring devices. Our partnership is extremely important, as open communication with our area law enforcement agencies really helps us better prepare our cadets to serve our communities as future officers with these agencies.'

This collaborative initiative not only strengthens the bridge between education and law enforcement but also emphasizes the crucial role of community partnerships in preparing the next generation of public servants. Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center extends its sincere thanks to the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office and the Commissioners for their unwavering support."
