Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center students were recently recognized for their commitment to serving our country at the Military Signing Day event hosted by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum in Columbus.
The event celebrated high school seniors across the state who have enlisted in a branch of the United States Armed Forces. Representing Pickaway-Ross at the ceremony were four students who have taken the courageous step of committing to military service:
Chloe Lucas, a Huntington senior, has enlisted in the Army National Guard
Desmond Billingsley, a Southeastern senior, has enlisted in the Army National Guard
Emma Garman, a Paint Valley senior, has enlisted in the United States Air Force
Hannah Morgan, a Circleville senior, has enlisted in the United States Navy
In addition to those recognized at the ceremony, six other Pickaway-Ross seniors have also decided to enlist in the military:
Cole Stevens (Zane Trace), Sam Cox (Unioto), and Noah Dalton (Paint Valley) previously participated in Military Signing Day and are currently enlisted in the Army National Guard.
Marley Souders (Southeastern, National Guard), Elliot Kinnison (Unioto, Air Force), and Jeremyah Teurman (Chillicothe, Marines) were unable to attend this year’s event due to job placement responsibilities but remain steadfast in their military commitments.
Whether attending ceremonies or already hard at work on job placement, each student is stepping into a future of service and purpose. Pickaway-Ross is proud to support students pursuing their career goals in the skilled trades, healthcare, public service, or the armed forces.
We thank these students for their dedication to country and community, and we wish them the very best as they prepare to serve.
