Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center students showcased their technical skills at the recent SkillsUSA Regional Competition, and several competitors earned spots at the state-level contest.

The event, held Friday at Delaware Area Career Center and the Midwest Carpenters Union Hall, brought together career-tech students from across the region to compete in hands-on and knowledge-based challenges in their respective fields.

Several Pickaway-Ross students placed among the top competitors, with the top three in each category advancing to the SkillsUSA Ohio State Championships:

  • Luke Woods, a senior in Auto Collision Repair, took 1st place in Collision Repair Technology.

  • Ethan Salisbury, a junior in Construction Tech, placed 2nd in Carpentry.

  • Abbi Wells, a senior in RAMTEC, placed 2nd in Related Technical Math.

  • Millane Berry, a junior in Health Science, placed 3rd in Prepared Speech.

Additionally, our Welding Fabrication team of juniors Lake Kellis, Braylon Lowery, and CJ Jones placed 4th in a highly competitive category.

The SkillsUSA Ohio State Championships will take place later this spring, where these students will compete against the best in the state for a chance to advance to the national level. Congratulations to all our competitors!
