Community Invited to Anniversary Celebration on August 24th
Chillicothe, OH — Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center is proud to announce its 50th Anniversary, marking half a century of commitment to career-technical education and workforce development in Ross and Pickaway counties. Since its inception in 1974, the center has been a cornerstone of education, providing students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their chosen fields and contributing to the region's economic growth.
To commemorate this milestone, Pickaway-Ross CTC will host a special community celebration on Saturday, August 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Crouse Chapel Road campus, located at 895 Crouse Chapel Rd., Chillicothe, Ohio. The event is open to the public and promises a day filled with activities for all ages.
Event Highlights Include:
Car & Bike Show: Car enthusiasts can showcase their vehicles with registration starting at 9 a.m. Admire various classic and modern cars and motorcycles on display throughout the day.
Kiddie Tractor Pull: Children ages 3-8 can participate in this fun event, with registration beginning at 10 a.m. and the pull starting at 11 a.m.
Family Fun Activities: Enjoy free food, music, kids' crafts, and activities, including bounce houses, a touch-a-truck experience, and raffles. Kids and adults alike can explore various vehicles up close in the touch-a-truck area.
Special Gifts: Alumni and attendees can receive a commemorative gift in honor of the 50th anniversary, while supplies last.
Ice Cream Treats: Cool off with 50-cent ice cream scoops from Whit's Frozen Custard, a delicious way to celebrate the occasion.

Over the past five decades, Pickaway-Ross CTC has evolved to meet the changing demands of the workforce, continually updating its programs and facilities to provide students with relevant and cutting-edge education. The center offers a wide range of programs in fields such as health sciences, construction, manufacturing, and information technology, among others.
