Our HOSA students recently participated in the state competition. Out of 11 qualifiers, several students have already been recognized for their outstanding work. Emma Seymour & Makenna Buchwalter received Gold Level awards, while Jacquelyn Crum earned Silver, and Emily Stevens & McKenzie Hettinger secured Bronze.
Our SkillsUSA students also brought home some major awards as they sent nearly 50 competitors to State. Among our standout performers, Blake Knight secured gold in Precision Machining and brought home the 3rd state championship in a row for our program, while Daniel Garabedian proudly took 3rd place in the same category. Additionally, Regan Blackstone impressed judges with a 3rd place win in the Health Occupations Professional Portfolio competition.
Many of our students who were not competing contributed to the success of the event by assisting in setting up the welding competitions as part of the volunteer Courtesy Corp. Their efforts were invaluable in ensuring the smooth running of the event.
Students in BPA also competed at state with Serenity McGlothlin securing 9th place for her Health Research Presentation. Isabelle Thomas achieved 5th place in Health Insurance and Medical Billing and Zachary Edler placed 5th in Device Configuration and Troubleshooting highlighting his technical prowess and problem-solving abilities.
