The LPN-to-RN Diploma program is a state-approved educational program that prepares successful completers to take the NCLEX license exam to become a licensed registered nurse in Ohio. Classroom and lab instruction are local. This program is governed by the Ohio Board of Nursing for nursing education

1026 Hours – Evenings and weekends (Approximately 1 year)

Pre-Admission:

1. A Pickaway-Ross Adult Education application.

2. A practical nurse transcript from an approved school of nursing (Potential student may be a Pickaway-Ross PN graduate or graduate from any approved NCSBN program).

3. Licensure as a licensed practical nurse in Ohio verified via the Ohio Board of Nursing website.

4. Pre-Entrance examination with passing score.

After Acceptance:

1. A mandatory orientation to the program.

2. Current CPR (cannot be an online course).

3. BCI/FBI background check.

4. Health examination that confirms ability to participate in program without limitations.

5. Drug screen.

6. Immunizations that include :

   1. 2 Step TB

   2. Hepatitis B series or waiver

   3. History of 2 MMR vaccinations or titer showing immunity

   4. DTaP vaccine

   5. Annual Flu vaccine when it becomes available (usually fall each year)

   6. Covid vaccine or waiver (dependent upon clinical site requirements)
